Tonight we've been home three weeks. We knew it would be hard, but it's been even harder than we thought.
Things are continuing to be calmer. Emphasis on the relative nature. Still meltdowns and acting out, but with our new "regime" they don't spiral out of control as much. Also, most likely Elisey is getting used to us and is trusting us more and hence testing less. Interestingly, Dimcho is acting out more. His meltdowns, however, are more diffuse and easier to redirect.
Today Elisey and I took a midday walk in Marion Bear park. He sampled the bathroom; almost everywhere he goes he wants to take a pee. We both enjoyed it very much, and it allowed Donna and Dimcho a chance to rest in peace for a bit. We hope to keep the walk as part of our routine.
